Rome, Ga Dance Photographer: Lydia, Powder Dance Session

This is my Lou Lou, Lydia. Believe it or not, this baby girl turned 16 YEARS OLD in December!! I can't believe it! Being a photographer with kids, you always want to do something different... special with each of your kids pictures. Being that Lydia is the fourth child... fourth daughter!!... there's not much "different" left, but Lou started taking modern dance lessons last year and I thought it'd be a fun idea to incorporate that into her 16 year pictures.

Now, those of you who know me, know that I'm not going to do just your typical, "stand in front of a backdrop in your dance costume and smile" pictures. I LOVE capturing movement in photography... and what better way to capture some of Lydia's dance moves than with a trail of dust, to trace them by. :D

Once she was COMPLETELY coated in flour, it was time for some fashion style photography, and yes... that is purple hair. ACTUALLY, it's violet! :D But man, does she rock it! She insisted she get to wear the flower crown. ;)

SIGH... have you ever been SO excited to see the finished product of a project, that the whole time youre working on it, you heart is RACING like a racehorse from the anticipation? Well, that was mine last night!! :D SQUEALS!! I just love them... and her!!
